Developing together .... growing.
As an atypical multi-brand sales agent with a background in banking and finance, I've been involved in business development and sales of technical products and solutions, some of them niche products, for twenty years.
The aim of my activity is to support companies and their projects in new or experienced markets, both domestic and international.
The search for new opportunities in B2B markets, the creation of a positive environment through full cooperation between customers and manufacturers, first-line technical assistance and training for professional customers - all these things characterize my activity in the field.
Choosing support from outside the company's organization is the ideal solution for overcoming the difficulties associated with starting a development project, which often affect organizations that are already overloaded and uninterested in taking on new tasks.
The support of a professional specialized in development project management, and not just a "representative", can limit the investment and provide the support needed to quickly understand the constraints involved in entering a new market or business and the requirements of customers.
Another important point is having a physical presence in the target market, which gives you the ability to have a direct link with it; this allows you to experience market developments at first hand (in a way that a remote presence, either online or through monthly visit programs, can never provide and establish a point of reference in the territory).
The work I propose to my clients involves both a short- and long-term presence: this is to allow everyone to assess the state of cooperation over the months, the results achieved, the different interventions in terms of business development. All of this is based on ongoing support and discussion of activities in a professional and comprehensive manner.
The choice of starting point for the project is vital, especially if we're talking about products that are linked to a seasonal pattern (it's not a big deal to say that purchases for this type of product are made well in advance of the sales season, so starting the development project at the right time is important for achieving results).
I have envisaged three different intervention scenarios in relation to the period to be dedicated to it, allowing targeted activities to be carried out.
The idea, of course, is to trigger cooperation to ensure effective feedback.
Market analysis aimed at seeing the product's potential in relation to competitors' products, the level of service, prices and distribution difficulties.
The limited time available will enable us to assess whether the development will be profitable and to make budget estimates.
Economic results cannot be ruled out, however, given the period of activity and its timing.
Canvassing and seeking commercial partnerships based on the type of product offered on the market. A great deal of attention is paid to evaluating the after-sales service available, technical support and promotional activities. After the planned period, the next step may be to hand over the handlebars to the company, or to continue the business development activities with more structured plans and more sustained involvement.
